Before “Erasmus+” we took part in various Socrates and Comenius projects. VHG is the only grammar school in Bogen, which is a town of 10.000 inhabitants on the Danube River, situated between the cities of Ratisbon (Regensburg) and Passau. North of us there is the Bavarian Forest. Bogen is a sub-centre of local tourism, business and industry. It is also known for its beer festival and its traditional carnival pageant. There has been quite a lot of immigration from the former Soviet Union. So about 15 per cent of Bogen’s population can also speak Russian.
